Hydrotherapy

“Hydrotherapy uses the advantage of weightlessness to aid in the recovery of specific injuries”

Hydro swimmer GreenHydrotherapy uses buoyancy, compression and warmth of the water to assist with patients who have difficulty with bearing weight through their joints or gravity affected movements.

We ask that you shower before entering the pool to reduce contamination from sprays, bodily oils or any other substances applied to the body that may come off whilst in the pool. Additionally we ask if you can bring a towel and footwear to the session and recommend bringing a drink bottle of water as dehydration can be a factor due to the heat of the water.

We recommend that you advise your physiotherapist if you have any cardiac or respiratory concerns, open wounds, cuts, abrasions, incontinence or other health related matters that may be of concern.

The pool is specially heated,  fully covered with a change room available & close to shower and toilet amenities.

You will need to attend a pre Hydrotherapy appointment with one of our Physiotherapists prior to attending the pool classes. This is to take your medical history, injuries, limitations & general health. The physio can then design a program for you to do in the pool either 1:1 or in the group classes.

Please phone our office to make your appointment and they will give you any other information you may require regarding Hydrotherapy classes.
