Dry needling

Dry needling is the use of acupuncture needles to help reduce muscular tightness and pain thus ultimately improving your outcome to treatment.

The Physiotherapist will use dry needling occasionally as part of their treatment and will check if you have any medical conditions of concern before administration. They will ask for your consent prior to application and if you do not want it at all they will not use it.

You may feel a small prick as the needle is tapped into the skin and a slight tightening as the needle may be twisted after insertion. There is a small chance that you may bleed after removal and thus a small amount of pressure may be applied to stop the bleeding.

We ask if you have any concerns to ask your practitioner..

David CHAN – Physiotherapist is our qualified Dry Needling practitioner here at ACE.
