What research says about Pilates

Pilates is said to improve flexibility, strength, balance, posture and body awareness. Originally developed in the 1920s by Joseph Hubertus Pilates, one utilizes the principles of concentration, control, centering, breathing, precision and flow of movement. It focuses on uniform development of muscular strength throughout the entire body with an emphasis on moving from a strong centre. It was Joseph’s intention, through practice of pilates for one to move with “minimum effort and maximum pleasure.”

ACE Physiolates is Pilates based group exercise therapy using bands, balls, mat based exercises that are non jarring & taken by a Physiotherapist.

This is a full body workout over an hour period. All injuries and limitations are addressed in the first appointment with our Physiotherapist.
